Gemma founded Bluebells & Daisies in her head when she was small but only ever got to follow her dreams in 2011. She can be mostly found in her workshop knee-deep in flowers and foliage, usually wearing her infamous bobble hat. Gemma spends most of her time focusing on the wedding side of Bluebells and Daisies, helping brides and grooms plan and prepare for their special day.

Choosing flowers and pretty little styling pieces is her favourite part of the job, with her sidekick Henry the Mini schnauzer nested at her feet.

Working with British flowers and growers is an integral part of Bluebells and Daisies. Supporting flower farms to grow locally is something we are passionate about. The colours and varieties of flowers we can bring to our little shop and our weddings are always so important. Seeing a customer walk down the high street holding the flowers that we lovingly put together is such a proud moment.

Gemma has so many favourite flowers as the changing seasons bring so many new varieties along with them, but if she was to highlight a few they’d have to be David Austin roses, peonies – the bigger the head the better, and the gorgeous cafe au late Dahlia.
