For me, British flowers transport you back to childhood memories of meadow filled gardens bursting with colour and perfume. The stems may wriggle around and may not be completely straight and uniform but that’s what gives the flowers their character and uniqueness.

 

We are in the heart of Peony season right now with these incredible blooms staying around for approx. 12 weeks.  Blousy, frilly petals and the sweetest perfumes make them the perfect romantic wedding flower… and now is the perfect time to get the very most out of them. It’s no surprise that peonies are one of the most popular requests we receive at Bluebells & Daisies.

 

English Garden Roses are another classic wedding flower that will reach their peak soon and continue throughout the summer months. Staying with the seasons involves flexibility but can achieve the most truly breathtaking flowers.

 

I’m very fortunate to be able to source my British flowers from the lovely Jill at Roses by the Brook. Jill has a wealth of experience when it comes to growing stems that nature produces. She nurtures her flowers from seed to stem, all from her gorgeous flower farm.
